The Women’s Council is always proud to support professional women in the building industry. They are especially proud to announce the winners of their scholarships for the spring 2008 semester:
Brooke Mills is a Geology student at the University of Nevada, Reno. Many of you know her smiling face from the front desk of The Builders office. Brooke is exploring opportunities for Geologists in the building industry; soil testing, surveying etc.
Mikayla Bowers is also a student at UNR and works part time at the front desk of the Tanamera Commercial Development office. She is studying Geological and Civil Engineering.
Stacie Farrell is, Assistant Purchasing Manager at SilverStar Communities, is pursuing an Associate of Arts in Architecture at Truckee Meadows Community College.
Robin Corbett is studying Graphic Communication at TMCC. She aspires to become a Marketing/Advertising Designer and focus on the promotion of building related companies. She has already worked for an Architect, a Builder, a General Contractor, various specialty contractors and a concrete supplier.
