We need you to get involved - TODAY!

We need legislators to hear your story about how chapter 40 is affecting your business! 

Please write a letter to legislators with real life examples about how it has affected your business, your family, your employees, and the future of your company in the state of Nevada. 

Here is a great example of a letter sent to builders from J&L Windows in November. 

Your letter doesn't need to be long, a paragraph or two can tell your story.  If your worried about not being a great writer, don't we can help with that.

We will have a series of these calls to action throughout the legislative session. You may be asked to send emails, show up for hearings, testify at hearings, call legislators and attend rallies. Right now, we need you to take action today by writing a letter about how you have been affected.

------------------------ More Construction Defect Background ----------------------- 

• There are several issues surrounding chapter 40 that need to be addressed including statute of repose, definition of a defect, right to repair, and most importantly, the need to change the way in which automatic attorneys fees are awarded.
   
• We have have been working diligently throughout the year interviewing candidates, discussing the needed changes on the issue, and meeting with Leadership in both the Assembly and the Senate.
  
   
• We are part of the Coalition for Fairness in Construction with the sole purpose of making changes to construct defect legislation. The coalition also includes: BAWN, SNHBA, Southern and Northern AGC, ABC, NV subcontractors and MGM Mirage (the largest builder in the state). The Coalition has produced a great whitepaper with more information.
