Construction Defect

•  We are TENTATIVELY scheduled for Construction Defect hearings in both the Senate and Assembly.  The Senate hearing is TENTATIVELY scheduled for Friday at 8am in the Senate Judiciary Committee - there will be limited time for testimony at this meeting.  We need to FILL THE ROOM for the Assembly hearing TENTATIVELY scheduled for Monday at 8am in the Assembly Judiciary Committee. These hearings are not yet officially posted but please plan your schedule accordingly, especially on Monday!  We will send you a call to action as soon as the dates are confirmed, please watch for it.

Health Fee increase defeated

• BANN successfully defeated proposed Washoe County Health Department fee increases of 6-10%

Bob Nielsen, NAHB Chairman and Reno builder, testified to congress on potential reforms of the housing finance companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

The Sales and Marketing Council successfully built our first-ever CANstructure last week.  Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Bank of America Home Loans, we were able to participate in this great community event.  Our small structure alone provided more than 1,300 cans for the food bank.  We learned some secrets from some experienced teams and we're ready to do it even better next year!
