Chair: Pam Parenti, Lennar (775/825-7733)
Staff Liaison: Mike Dillon
Laws passed by state and local governments aren’t the only things that affect a construction timeline—we also deal with regulations issued by local utility companies in such diverse areas as street cuts, vaults, and trenching. The Utilities and Offsites Committee meets to review these proposals as they are issued and provides valuable feedback to the utility companies who are designing the regulation, mitigating adverse effects before implementation when possible.

Chair: John Schroeder, Ryder Homes (775/823-3788)

A single person does not have the ability to keep abreast of the many changes at a local or state level. Northern Nevada alone deals with three local municipalities comprised of several bureaucratic levels, all of which affect the way we build. The Codes Committee is charged with reviewing regulations and ordinances prior to their adoption, providing agencies with valuable insight as to how our ability to provide affordable housing will be affected.
